I create art to honour the sacredness of life. I play with lines, creatures, colour and form to enliven the everyday and shake off the numbing effects of stress culture. I love art that is humble and honest and hope you find these qualities in my work.
I work as Scríobhaí / Scribe, continuing the ancient tradition of illuminating what's important. I honour the ups and downs in people's lives: the births, deaths, weddings, thank yous and well wishes that weave through our days. Contact me to avail of my services as scribe.
I make paper with grasses and seaweed and paint organic forms on it. I weave bog-grass and sea-grass funerary urns, and partner with others on educational folklore booklets. I also paint on wood and stone.
Jan & Feb: Focail Bheo / Living Words exhibition in Gweedore Library. Paintings and Bog Grass prayer baskets.
Ongoing: Scríobhaí cártaí as Gaeilge available in Oifig an Phoist Anagaire, Siopa Loch an Iuir, Under the Toadstool Dungloe agus Molloy's Na Doirí Beaga.
July: New Website shop, Etsy shop and loads of new products and partnerships with museums and galleries.
October: Teach Solais / Lighthouse multimedia installation exploring unity. Location to be confirmed. Supported by Ealaín na Gaeltachta.
November: An Foirfeachta Istigh / Knotwork Series exhibition in Gweedore Library. Watercolours on handmade paper.
I live a simple life of prayer, meditation, cleansing and nature connection. I am focused on raising the vibration of humanity through presence and sacred art.
In my newsletter I offer stories and new art every few weeks.
